Clutter attracts more clutter.  Keep flat surfaces clear to avoid pile ups. 
 
Toss junkmail as soon as it comes into the house.
 
Avoid purchasing and/or saving items that you don’t have a place for right now. 
 
Plan on doing your errands for the same day to save gas, time, and money. 
 
Break big jobs into smaller, more managable pieces. 
 
Do one thing at a time!  Multi-tasking decreases productivity.  Do the most important thing first, and stay focused.
 
80/20 rule
We use 20% of our things, 80% of the time (think favorite outfits in your closet). 
80% of our time used to clean and organize is spent on 20% of our homes. 
 
Store things together that belong together. 
 
Shopping for organizational products is NOT the first step in organizing! 
 
Do today what you’ve been putting off for tomorrow.
